Three men were sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment by a Sangareddy court on Tuesday in connection with the seizure of 22 kilogrammes of ganja, brought from Odisha for sale.

The court also slapped a fine of ₹1 lakh on each of the convicts.

The accused were identified as Parimil Bhadra of Malkangiri district in Odisha, Karuva Sarkar and Madapu Mandal. The case dates back to 2018 when excise enforcement personnel intercepted the contraband and registered a case at the Sangareddy excise station.
