Eight assistant teachers who were assigned enumeration work in the ongoing Social and Educational Survey in Mysuru have been suspended for remaining absent from survey work.
They were suspended by the Deputy Director of School Education, Mysuru, Javare Gowda on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Lakshmikant Reddy and zilla panchayat CEO Yukesh Kumar.
A statement here said the assistant teachers were suspended for “failing to attend the survey enumeration work, not receiving officials’ phone calls, and showing irresponsibility and extreme negligence”.
