Deputy Commissioner Rahul Pandve has said that 96.27% of voters in Yadgir district, in Karnataka, have been mapped so far.

Addressing a press conference in Yadgir on June 5, Mr. Pandve said that the 2002 electoral rolls have been considered as the benchmark, and compared with the existing 2025 electoral rolls through a mapping process.

The mapping process is a pre-Special Intensive Revision (SIR) examination of electoral rolls taken up by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

As many as 10,53,496 voters are eligible according to the 2025 voters list. Of them, 10,14,221 voters have been identified and mapped (96.27%).

The rest — 39,275 voters — will be verified. There is a possibility that some them might have died, migrated or included twice in the list.

“No one will be suddenly dropped from the list. Untraced voters will be served notices and verified,” the Deputy Commissioner said.

The Deputy Commissioner said that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door visits from June 30 to July 29, and distribute the enumeration forms containing voter details in printed format, and collect documents with the required information from voters with self-attestation. The BLOs will upload the data in an app.

The draft voters’ list containing details filled in the Enumeration Form will be published on August 5. Objections from voters, if any, will be accepted between August 5 and September 4. The objections will be disposed of by October 3. The final voters’ list will be published on October 7, he explained.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kolar was present at the event.
