A total of 19,33,313 enumeration forms have been distributed in the district till Friday (up to 2 p.m on November 14, 2025) as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, according to official estimates.

District Collector G. Priyanka said the process had been accelerated. The maximum number of enumeration forms was distributed in the Kunnathunad Assembly constituency (1,61,673), accounting for 85.1% of the total voters. Forms have been distributed to over 80% voters in Perumbavoor, Angamaly, and Vypeen, according to a communication.

A total of 2,325 booth-level officers (BLOs)—one per booth—have been deployed for fieldwork in the district. A special meeting will be convened to speed up the process in urban areas by seeking the co-operation of residents associations and apartment owners associations, it said.

‘Deposit firearms’

Meanwhile, the District Collector on Friday asked all licensed gun owners to deposit their firearms with the police ahead of the local body polls in December. Licence-holders are mandated to deposit their guns at their jurisdictional police stations before the elections. Those who fail to comply with the directive will face action. A meeting of the screening committee will be held at the collectorate on Saturday to take a call on gun owners who have sought exemption from the rule.
