A boy and a girl, siblings, slipped into a farm pond and died in Udapudi of Belagavi district on Sunday.
Farmer Siddappa Sirasangi complained to the Katakol Police that his 13-year-old son Eeranna and 11-year-old daughter Guravva drowned in the farm pond of another farmer in Udapudi village.
They had gone to bathe in the farm pond of Hanumant Patil, a farmer in the neighbourhood.
But they slipped into the water. They died as they could not swim, the complaint said.
A case has been registered.
