The Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC) organised the Shauryaveer Run 2025 in Belagavi on Sunday.

MLIRC Commandant Brigadier Joydip Mukherjee flagged off the event at the Shivaji Stadium at MLIRC.

He lauded the remarkable participation and the flawless conduct of the event by the troops of the Regimental Centre.

He noted that the run truly embodied the “Spirit of the Infantry”, a celebration of courage, endurance and unity.

Organised with exceptional precision and professionalism, the Shauryaveer Run 2025 reflected the high standards, discipline and dedication synonymous with the MLIRC.

Every detail — from route management, hydration and medical support to hospitality and participant experience — bore testimony to the relentless efforts of the organising team and the commitment of the troops behind the scenes.

The event drew overwhelming participation from serving personnel, veterans, families, students and fitness enthusiasts from the civil community in Belagavi, who came together to “Run for the Brave”.

The three categories — Half Marathon (21 km), Timed Run (10 km), and Fun Run (5 km) — encouraged inclusion across all age groups and fitness levels. A lively Zumba warm-up, cheering crowds and a patriotic atmosphere added to the vibrancy of the morning.

The Shauryaveer Run 2025 received widespread appreciation and extensive media coverage, amplifying its message of national pride, fitness and gratitude to the Infantry — the valiant guardians of India’s frontiers.

More than a race, it was a stirring expression of unity between soldiers and citizens — a resounding salute to the spirit of courage, discipline and sacrifice that defines the Indian Infantry, said a release.
