Officers of the Police and Correctional Services, who won President’s Medal for Distinguished Services (PSM) and Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM), received awards during the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Amaravati on Saturday.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu presented the awards to the recipients.
Superintendent of Police Chennupati Bhadraiah and Gopu Rajeev Kumar received the PSM award for I-Day 2025. Forty-five other officers working in different wings, who were selected during 2024 and 2025, also received the awards.
For the I-Day 2026, 27 officers of the Police, Fire, and Correctional Services were selected for Medal for Gallantry (GM), PSM and MSM awards.
