It was on July 3, 2025, when the first-ever introductory video of Ramayana was released. We saw a partial glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana. And ever since, fans have been rooting for more. Today, on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the makers will reveal Ranbir’s first glimpse as Lord Ram. Find out when you can expect the new teaser release.
What time will the new teaser of Ramayana be unveiled?
The first-ever proper glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram will be revealed for the world to see on April 2. While the exact time can’t be confirmed, producer Namit Malhotra had previously announced that the event starts at 9 am. It is likely that the teaser of Ramayana can be expected to be released between 9.30 to 10 am. The video will be out on verified social media platforms and also on YouTube.
What did Ranbir Kapoor say about Lord Ram at the Ramayana LA event?
A select few in LA and New York have already seen Ranbir Kapoor’s first look as Lord Ram. During the event, RK had addressed a query about Ramayana during a Q&A session with director Nitesh Tiwari. Talking about Lord Ram, he said, “Lord Ram has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries and long after. He will continue being so long after we have gone.”
He further added, “He enlightens us about the triumph of the human spirit in terms of adversities. He stands for compassion, for courage, for righteousness and forgiveness. He is called Maryada Purushottam, which stands for an ideal man.”
Ramayana: Cast, crew and release date
With Ranbir Kapoor taking on the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Rocking Star Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Ramayana is coming together as a rare, large-scale spectacle with global appeal.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with 8-time Oscar-winning DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is a two-part epic, slated for a worldwide IMAX release, with Part 1 arriving in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
