A rally to mark World Breastfeeding Awareness Week, which is observed from August 1 – 7, was held.

According to a press release, the rally, which was organised by Sandhya Hospital, was aimed to create awareness of the importance of breastfeeding and its benefits. The rally was flagged off by Sandhya Babu, director, Sandhya Hospital and Sandhya College of Nursing, and Sunil Raj, pediatrician.

Doctors, nurses, nursing college students, and hospital staff participated in the rally, carrying placards with awareness messages highlighting the importance of breastfeeding, the release said.
