Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao on Tuesday (April 14, 2026) cautioned the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led Central government against any proposed delimitation [of Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies] exercise that could reduce the representation of southern States, saying such a move would trigger a widespread public agitation across the region.

In a post on social media, the BRS working president and the former Minister expressed hope that the leadership in New Delhi would “listen and act wisely”. He asserted that the BRS would mount a firm opposition to any such move and called upon the Centre to take into account the prevailing realities.
