Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday (May 2, 2026) launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that its “mask of Nari Vandana” had slipped following an “indecent remark” by its Gujarat unit president against Congress MP Geniben Thakor.

In a post on X, Mr. Gandhi said the controversy had exposed the BJP’s “anti-women and Manuwadi mindset”.
