The Rashtrakavi Dr. G.S. Shivarudrappa (GSS) Trust will hold a ceremony to present the GSS Award and Kavyasourabha, a presentation of his poems, in memory of the poet G.S. Shivarudrappa, at the Karnataka Sangha in Shivamogga on Saturday.

Kiran Desai, the president of the trust, in a press conference in Shivamogga on Thursday, said that the trust had been presenting the award, instituted in memory of Dr. GSS, to noted writers for the past 10 years. Noted critic O.L. Nagabhushana Swamy has been chosen for the award for the year 2026. The winners of the singing competition conducted by the trust will present songs of G.S.
