“The State government has decided to further simplify the Recognition Renewal (RR) process of private schools in the coming days,” said School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa.

Speaking after receiving the ‘Shikshana Bangara’ award given by the Associated Managements of English Medium Schools in Karnataka (KAMS) at the State-level educational conference ‘Vision-Mission’ on January 18, he said, “There have been many problems in the RR process of private schools for many years. If officials of the department are found harassing school managements in this regard, action will be taken without hesitation.”

“Earlier, more than 60 documents had to be submitted for the RR process. After our government came to power, it was reduced to 30 and simplified. In the coming days, changes will be made to the rules and further simplified. In this regard, a committee has also been formed in the Belagavi session. Action will be taken to simplify the RR process as much as possible after examining the report submitted by the committee,” he said.

Meanwhile, KAMS has requested the Minister to provide two types of question papers in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) model, easy and difficult, based on the learning ability of the students in mathematics.
