The Communist Party of India (CPI) Central Control Commission chairman K. Narayana accused the BJP government at the Centre of touting ‘bonanza’ in the name of GST reforms with an eye on the upcoming Assembly elections to various States including Bihar.
He was speaking at a preparatory meeting held in Khammam on Sunday (October 05) to discuss arrangements for the closing ceremony of the ongoing centenary celebrations of the foundation of the CPI scheduled to be held in Khammam on December 26, 2025.
Mr. Narayana alleged that the BJP indulged in ‘vote theft’ in the past. “The ruling BJP dispensation at the Centre is resorting to election gimmicks after fleecing people in the name of GST and favouring big corporate entities for the last 9 years,” he charged.
He said widespread resentment is prevailing among all sections of people against the ‘anti-democratic’ and ‘fascist’ tendencies of the BJP.
CPI State secretary and Kothagudem MLA K. Sambasiva Rao and the party senior leader Puvvada Nageshwara Rao among others spoke.
