The police shot at two murder accused in Hubballi, Karnataka, on Saturday (November 15, 2025), when they attempted to attack the officers in a bid to escape.
The two accused were taken to the spot for investigation into the Mallik Adam Bhai murder case, where accused Balraj alias Bangara Balya and Mohammed Sheikh tried to escape by throwing stones at the police.
The accused, with criminal antecedents, face charges of stabbing Mallik Adam Bhai to death three days ago.
Officers led by Inspector S.R. Nayak and his team shot them in the legs. The two accused and some police officers injured in the incident were admitted to the hospital.
Police Commissioner N. Sasikumar visited KIMS Hospital, inquired about the health of the injured policemen. An inquiry will be ordered, he told reporters.
