Members of the National Coordination Committee of Pensioners’ Association, Mysuru staged a dharna here on Friday demanding the withdrawal of the validation of pension rules introduced through the Finance Act, 2025.

The retired employees staged the dharna outside the office of BSNL in Jayalakshmipuram.

They urged the Union government to amend the terms of reference of the 8th Central Pay Commission to include the revision of pensions of pre-2026 pensioners.

While describing the new pension rules as “anti-pensioner”, the protesters said the validation of pension rules was detrimental to the interests of retired employees.
