AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday condemned the alleged vandalising of a statue of late AIADMK founder and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran in Nagercoil.

Miscreants have damaged the statue in Parvathipuram in Nagercoil in Kanniyakumari district on Saturday night, Mr. Palaniswami said in a social media post. He condemned the actions of those who damaged and those who were “discreetly behind the scene”. He called for swift investigation by the police and stringent legal action against those who were involved in the incident.
