Over ₹6 lakh was collected in fine by the Vigilance and Enforcement officials from Karimnagar unit, in coordination with the Road Transport Authority, during a surprise route check on Rajiv Rahadari (Karimnagar to Peddapalli road) during the intervening night of October 13 and 14.

The officials intercepted several goods carriers and booked 16 cases under the Motor Vehicles Act and two under the Mines Act, collecting a total tax penalty of about ₹6.2 lakh.

In another operation, officials of the Vigilance and Enforcement department’s Warangal unit, along with Civil Supplies personnel, inspected PVR Agro Industries at Jafergudem in Raghunathapalli mandal of Jangaon district on October 13 and found a shortage of 1,121.28 quintals of paddy from the 2022–23 rabi season and 5,128.95 quintals from the 2024–25 rabi season.

The total shortfall, valued at around ₹1.48 crore, has been reported to the District Civil Supplies Officer, Jangaon, for further action.
