As the final phase of Bihar Assembly elections drew to a close on Tuesday (November 11, 2025), nine exit polls projected a decisive majority for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), indicating that the ruling coalition is poised to retain power in the State. Counting of votes will be done on November 14.

Matrize has given 147-167 seats to NDA, 70-90 to Mahagatbandhan (MGB), 0-2 to Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) and 2-8 seats to others, while People’s Insight has predicted 133-148 seats for NDA, 87-102 to MGB, 0-2 to JSP, and 3-6 seats to others.

According to Peoples Pulse, NDA is slated to bag 133-159 seats, 75-101 seats will go to MGB, 0-5 to JSP, and 2-8 seats will go to others. JVC Poll has also projected NDA’s victory in 135-150 constituencies, followed by MGB in 88-103, JSP in 0-1, and others in 3-6 constituencies. Chanakya Strategies has given 130-138 seats to NDA, 100-108 to MGB, nil to JSP, and 3-5 seats to others.

Pollster P-Marq has projected 142-162 seats for NDA, 80-98 for MGB, 1-4 for JSP, and 0-3 seats for others, while as per Dainik Bhaskar projections, NDA is likely to win 145-160 seats, MGB 73-91, JSP 0-3, whereas 5-7 seats will be bagged by others. DV Research has predicted 137-152 seats in favour of NDA, 83-98 for MGB, 2-4 for JSP, and 1-8 seats for others.

TIF Research-NAI has also indicated a major win for the BJP-led alliance with 145-163 seats going to the NDA and 76-95 to the opposition. Axis My India and Today’s Chanakya are expected to release their exit poll results on Wednesday (November 11, 2025).

In the second phase, 68.52% voter turnout was registered in 122 Assembly segments till 7 p.m. on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) and the final figure was likely to go up. A similar trend was recorded in the first phase with the highest ever turnout of 64.69% across 121 constituencies on November 6.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has in the past cautioned against exit poll projections, with the then Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar stating that they were creating a huge distortion by raising expectations that did not match with the actual results. He had called for self-introspection by pollsters and the press, particularly electronic media, to take corrective measures.
