Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari conducted a whirlwind tour of Nandikotkur and Panyam Assembly constituencies in the district inaugurating and laying foundations for various development works taken up with her MPLADS funds, on Monday (April 06).

Ms. Shabari started her tour in her constituency with the inauguration of the newly constructed CC roads in Tarturu village of Jupadu Bungalow mandal. These roads were laid by spending ₹55 lakh NREGS funds. In the village, the MP visited the local government school and interacted with the students to know the problems they were facing. As the school building was in a bad shape, Ms Shabari called District Educational Officer Janardhan Reddy over phone and asked him to resolve the issue. She also assured the people of sanctioning new buildings for the two anganwadi centres in the village. Ms. Shabari had darshan at the famous Sri Ranganadha Swamy temple in the village where she was given a traditional welcome on her arrival.

In Vadala village of Pamulapadu mandal, Ms. Shabari inaugurated the mineral water plant set up with a cost of ₹5 lakh from her MPLADS funds. Local TDP leaders brought to her notice the need for construction of bridges on K-C Canal and also sluices that got damaged and ensure that the entire ayacut gets irrigation water. Ms. Shabari responded positively and assured to look into the problems raised by them.

In Pedda Gummadapuram village in Nallamala forest area of Kottapalli mandal, Ms. Shabari inaugurated a water filteration plant constructed with a cost of ₹5 lakh. Addressing the villagers, the MP said she got sanctioned and installed the plant to provide clean drinking water to the people living near the forest area.
