42 Maoist cadres surrender with arms and gold before Telangana police

A total of 42 cadres of the CPI (Maoist), including senior members of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) and the Telangana State Committee, surrendered before the Telangana police on Friday (April 10, 2026), handing over 36 firearms, 1,007 rounds of ammunition, two country-made grenades and 800 grams of gold.

Among those who surrendered were 47-year-old Sodi Malla alias Keshal alias Nikhil, a battalion commander and member of the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee, 40-year-old Chapa Narayana alias Gajendar alias Madhu, a State Committee member and military chief of the Telangana State Committee, and 40-year-old Kadthi Sannu alias Manthu, a divisional committee member.
