The Telangana government has introduced the ‘Mana Isuka Vahanam’ scheme to enable online booking of sand in Siddipet district, aimed at improving transparency and curbing illegal practices.

Siddipet Commissioner of Police Rashmi Perumal said citizens can book sand directly through the official portal without depending on intermediaries. Applicants are required to register online, submit their request and pay the prescribed fee, following which the application will be verified by the village panchayat secretary and Tahsildar before approval.

Officials said sand will be supplied at rates fixed by the State government and advised the public to use the official system instead of approaching brokers.

The Police Commissioner cautioned that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in illegal transportation of sand.
