A 45-year-old man was critically injured after being allegedly attacked by his relative over a 250-square-yard land dispute at Surangal village in Moinabad on Saturday.
The victim was identified as R. Shyam, a labourer. Police said that Shyam was assaulted by his nephew, R. Prasad, with a machete near the disputed plot in the early hours of Saturday.
He was rushed to a private hospital, where he is in a critical condition.
Moinabad police have registered an attempt-to-murder case and launched an investigation.
