Man caught sexually harassing physically challenged woman

Angry residents chased and caught a 30-year-old man after he was allegedly caught sexually harassing a home alone physically challenged girl at her house in Adugodi on Sunday (November 9, 2025).

The accused has been identified as Vikram, a resident of LR Nagar and unemployed staying close to the victim’s house.

According to the police, the victim’s mother, who works as a domestic help, returned home from work on Sunday (November 9, 2025) to find the door locked from the inside. After repeated attempts, she forced open the door to find her daughter disrobed and scared. She later found Vikram hiding behind a door .

Mr. Vikram attempted to flee but was chased and caught by residents after the mother raised an alarm for help. Angry residents tied up Mr. Vikram and thrashed him before he was handed over to the police.

The Adugodi police have registered a case under Sections 75 (sexual harassment), 76 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 333 (house trespass) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused was produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody, officials said.
