Man arrested for wearing women’s innerwear in public in Bengaluru

The Hebbagodi police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly wearing women’s innerwear and roaming in public places, causing public nuisance and outrage.

According to the police, the incident was reported on January 19, within the limits of the Hebbal police station. The accused was allegedly seen wearing women’s undergarments, posing obscenely, and moving around public areas, creating discomfort and fear among women.

Acting on information, the police conducted a search operation and detained the suspect. During interrogation, the accused was identified as Amal N. Aji.

During a search of his residence, the police recovered several women’s innerwear items, which were seized as evidence. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused allegedly wore women’s undergarments and posed in public on multiple occasions.
