London-headquartered accounts outsourcing and knowledge process management firm GI Outsourcing on Tuesday opened a global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad GCC, established in partnership with Covasant company Enablr, expands GI Outsourcing’s presence in India complementing its existing operations in Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad. The new centre, with 50 people, will grow to 100 people over the next 12 months.

There are plans to hire 100 more by 2028, the company said after the GCC inauguration in the presence of Siddharth Viswanathan, head, Inward Investment (South India), Department for Business & Trade, British Deputy High Commission, Hyderabad and others.

Designed as a strategic delivery hub, the Hyderabad facility will leverage the city’s deep talent pool of finance and accounting professionals to support GI Outsourcing’s global clientele. “India has been central to our long-term operating model. Our strategic expansion into Hyderabad is about accessing a rich ecosystem of innovation and financial expertise. Enablr’s expertise helped us to bypass the usual teething problems of global expansion, Group CEO of GI Outsourcing Tariq Husain said in a release.

The GCC exemplifies how UK enterprises are investing in Indian talent and innovation, and the shared growth pathways that benefit both the economies, Mr.Viswanathan said.
