Riding high on increased passenger patronage during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) netted a record daily ticket revenue (operating revenue) of ₹10.77 crore on December 15, 2025. Considering the non-ticket revenue of ₹76 lakh during the day, the total revenue for the day is estimated at ₹11.53 crore.

The coordinated efforts of the KSRTC management, employees, supervisors and officers have helped the KSRTC post a new benchmark in the daily collection of the public utility, said a statement here on Tuesday (December 16, 2025). The public utility also achieved this by improving its operations efficiency without increasing the ticket fare.

Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar highlighted that recent reforms by KSRTC have significantly advanced its goal of self-sufficiency. The introduction of new buses and improved services have been well-received by passengers.
