The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) secured government land worth over ₹111 crore in Rangareddy district on Thursday, a statement from HYDRAA informed. The recovered assets include a 976-square-yard park site and 1.28 acres of government land located in Rajendranagar and Balapur mandals respectively.

At Shastripuram Colony in Mailardevpally village, HYDRAA intervened following a public grievance that some individuals were attempting to encroach upon a designated park area using fabricated documents. The park site, part of a HUDA layout approved in 1996, had earlier been fenced by municipal authorities. Acting swiftly on residents’ appeals, HYDRAA secured the park land, drawing appreciation from the local community.

In a parallel operation at Jillelaguda village of Balapur mandal, officials removed encroachments from 1.28 acres of government land in Survey No. 76. Reports indicated that certain individuals had created fake title deeds, divided the property into plots, and began selling them illegally. Upon receiving complaints, HYDRAA launched action to reclaim the land, the statement said.

Both sites have now been fenced, and signboards installed to mark the protected government property and park area.
