KLU organises ‘AI BUILD 2026’ hackathon

The KL University (KLU), ASSOCHAM and 42 Learn, a leading talent and skilling platform have jointly organised ‘AI BUILD 2026’, an industry-led AI Engineering Challenge, at the KLU in Vijayawada on Monday (August 10, 2026). 

Students from 75-plus engineering colleges took part in the event. Following the assessments, the top 1,000 students were selected to participate in the “AI BUILD 2026 Hackathon”, where they worked on real-world industry problem statements across Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and emerging technologies. 

The KLU team comprising Seshma Muddana, Syed Mastan Vali and Shravya Lankapalli emerged as the winners. 

DNR College of Engineering & Technology, Bhimavaram, team—Sivangi Rama Raju, Boddu Venu Madhav, Salapu Kalyani Durga, and Botta Srinivasu; and Vignan’s Nirula Institute of Technology and Science for Women, Guntur, team—M. Lasya, P. Nandini Lakshmi, Avula Jaya Lakshmi, and P. Mythreyi—secured the first runners-up.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing (IIITDM) – Kurnool team members—Sujal Negi and C.R. Vaishnavi; and Nadimpalli Satyanarayana Raju Institute of Technology, Visakhapatnam, team—Palli Achutha Rao, Pratik Patel, and M. Chaitanya Murthy—were the second runners-up.
