The United Democratic Front (UDF) is all set to make a clean sweep in Ernakulam as its candidates are leading in all the 14 constituencies across the district so far.

The Left Democratic Front, which had won five seats in the 2021 elections, has failed to make an impact this time. P. Rajeeve, Minister for Industries in the Left front government, is trailing by 7, 355 votes against his rival V. E Abdul Gafoor of the UDF. Besides Kalamassery, the LDF had won Kochi, Vypin, Kunnathunad and Kothamangalam segments in 2021. Kerala’s Opposition Leader V. D Satheesan, who is eyeing a sixth straight win, is leading in Paravur constituency with a margin of 6, 085 votes.
