Key functionaries of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), including the party’s general secretary N. ‘Bussy’ Anand, and general secretary (election campaign management) Aadhav Arjuna, appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Karur on Monday (November 24, 2025) in connection with the September 27 stampede case, in which 41 people died.

The two office bearers were accompanied by party Karur West district secretary K.P. Mathiyazhagan and functionary M.C. Pounraj. They arrived at the camp office of the CBI team in Karur around 10.30 a.m. in response to summons issued by the agency, sources said.

The stampede during a rally addressed by party founder and actor Vijay in Karur, which resulted in 41 fatalities, is being investigated by the CBI and monitored by a panel appointed by the Supreme Court.
