BJP spokesperson Sadineni Yamini Sarma has lashed out at the Karnataka Congress government, accusing it of “weeping over Andhra Pradesh’s progress,” instead of focusing on attracting investments.

Addressing the media in Vijayawada on Thursday, Ms. Yamini Sarma said Andhra Pradesh offered what investors looked for — a vast coastline, world-class infrastructure, including roads, airports, and ports, green energy, and global connectivity.

“There is political stability and confidence in governance. This is the speed, stability, and strength of a double-engine government,” she said. In  contrast, Karnataka, under the Congress rule, had been losing projects due to lack of direction and rampant corruption, she alleged.

Highlighting the Central government’s reforms and investor-friendly policies, she said India and Andhra Pradesh had become major investment destinations due to stable governance and visionary leadership.

“The Congress cannot digest India’s growth. The comments made by Karnataka Minister M.B. Patil shows their frustration and jealousy,” she remarked.

Ms. Yamini Sarma asserted that the Google AI Data Center in Visakhapatnam was not a political favour but the result of vision and leadership. “Google CEO Sundar Pichai himself said he was amazed by Modi’s vision in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Yet, the Karnataka Congress is making baseless allegations,” she added.
