The Karnataka Legislative Assembly congratulated recipients of the Padma award from the State for this year. Recipients were Shatavadhani R. Ganesh, Prabhakar B. Kore, Anke Gowda M., Suresh Hanagavadi, S.G. Susheelamma, Shubha Iyengar, Shashi Shekhar Vempati, and T.T. Jagannathan.
On January 27, Speaker U.T. Khader read out a congratulatory message in the House appreciating their contributions in their respective fields.
