JJC to organise State-level consultation on ‘Safeguarding Girl Child’ on September 14

The Juvenile Justice Committee (JJC) of the A.P. High Court, in association with Women Development and Child Welfare Department and the A.P. State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA), will organise a State-level stakeholders consultation on ‘Safeguarding Girl Child: Towards a Safer and Enabling Environment for her in India’, on September 14 (Sunday). The programme will be conducted from 10 a.m. onwards at the Tummalapalli Kalashatram.

A.P. High Court Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur will give the inaugural address. Bombay High Court judge Justice Revati Mohite Dere will be the special guest. JJC Chairperson Justice Ravi Nath Tilhari, members and High Court judges Justices V. Sujatha, Kiranmayee Mandava and Challa Gunaranjan, APSLSA Member Secretary B.S.V. Hima Bindu and other officers will speak on laws for protection of girl child, legal aid and services, victim compensation, role of APSLSA and other topics, said the APSLSA officials in a release on Saturday.
