Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has lined up seven launch missions from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, by the end of March 2026. Speaking to the media after the successful launch of LVM3-M5/ CMS-03 mission from here on Sunday (November 2, 2025), ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan announced about the upcoming launch missions.

“Again, ISRO will use LVM3-M5 vehicle to place a commercial communication satellite for a private client. Three PSLV missions are planned for placing the satellites soon. A technology development mission PSLV-N1 and GSLV-F17 mission will also be launched by the end of this financial year,” he said, revealing various developments that are taking place at SDSC SHAR.

Sharing the details about the much-awaited India’s maiden human spaceflight programme, the ISRO Chairman said, “Gaganyaan project is in advanced stage and hardware integration is underway at Sriharikota. Before launching the most important crewed mission, we have planned three uncrewed missions. The first uncrewed (G1) mission launch is targetted by March 2026.

When asked about the earlier plan to launch a mission every month, Mr. Narayanan said: “Today, we have only two launch pads at SDSC SHAR and two more are under construction. Once the new launching site at Kulasekarapattinam (Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu) is initiated, small satellite can be launched every three weeks.”

“In line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ISRO team is working towards launching 50 missions over the next five years,” he added.
