Food Safety officials raid restaurant, case booked

Officials of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) conducted a raid on a restaurant, located at Gurunanak Colony in Vijayawada on Monday.

Acting on a complaint that the restaurant was serving stale food, a team led by NTR District Assistant Food Controller B. Srinivas and Food Safety Officer S. Ravindra Reddy, raided and seized the food items.

Mr. Srinivas said: “The seized items will be sent to the laboratory for examination. A case has been registered against the restaurant management, and investigation is on.“
