A 22-year-old woman, daughter of a senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) official, was raped and killed at the family’s residence in south Delhi’s Kailash Hills in the early hours of Wednesday, said the police.
The accused, a 19-year-old former domestic help, Rahul Meena, was nabbed in the evening from a hotel in Dwarka, the police said, adding that the youth was on the run after molesting a neighbour in his native village of Rajgarh in Rajasthan’s Alwar district on Tuesday. He has been arrested under several BNS sections, including those pertaining to rape, murder and robbery.
