The Hubbali airport has been ranked the fourth best in the Airports Authority of India (AAI) customer satisfaction survey. According to the Customer Satisfaction Index of Airports for Round-II 2025 vis-a-vis Round-I 2025 in which 58 of the 62 AAI-run airports across the country were surveyed, the Hubbali airport was ranked fourth.

Khajuraho, Bhopal and Aurangabad bagged the first three spots.

The survey takes into account 33 parameters, including ground transportation to/from airport, parking facilities, availability of baggage carts trolleys, waiting time in check-in queue/line, efficiency of check-in staff, courtesy and helpfulness of check-in staff, thoroughness of security inspection, value for money of restaurant/eating facilities, comfort of waiting/gate areas, internet access/Wi-Fi, among others. In addition, five questions related to hygiene were also part of the survey.

The Hubballi airport, which had secured a score of 4.93 in the previous survey, has secured a score of 4.96 in the latest survey. The Belagavi airport secured a score of 4.89 in the latest survey as against 4.94 in the previous survey. The Mysuru airport secured a score of 4.81 as against 4.73.

The Hubbali airport has seen a huge improvement in the rankings compared to the previous survey, Customer Satisfaction Index of Airports for Round-I 2025 vis-a-vis Round-II 2024, in which it was ranked eight.

The Belagavi airport, which was ranked seventh in the previous survey, has slipped to the 11th spot in the latest survey, while the Mysuru airport, which was ranked 16th in the previous survey, has improved its score by moving up one position to the 15th spot.

The other AAI run airport in Karnataka, the one in Kalaburgi, which was ranked in 16th position in the last survey, does not figure in the latest rankings as the survey could not be conducted due to non-availability of scheduled flights. The Kalaburgi airport has gone off the aviation map following the abrupt suspension of services by Star Airlines to and from Kalaburagi from October 15, 2025.
