The Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare has released ₹128.43 crore to all districts through the National Health Mission (NHM) and directed the officials that the funds must be spent by February 20.

According to an official release, the highest allocation was made to Guntur district (₹26.1 crore), followed by Nellore (₹8.60 crore) and Krishna (₹6.21 crore). The remaining districts received funds in the range of ₹2 crore to ₹5.20 crore.

Health and Family Welfare Commissioner G. Veerapandian said the funds were part of the final instalment under the NHM budget to the State for the 2025–26 fiscal year.

Participating in a virtual meeting with all District Medical and Health Officers on Thursday, Mr. Veerapandian instructed them that the funds should be utilised strictly in accordance with the guidelines and that detailed reports on the same should be submitted.
