Half-day for all Telangana schools from March 15 to April 23

Telangana School Education Department has announced half-day for all schools in the State, starting from March 15 to April 23, 2026 – the last working day of the 2025-26 academic year. All government, government aided and private management schools will function from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The midday meals shall be prepared at 12:30 PM., as per the order issued by Director of School Education Department on Thursday (March 12, 2026).

Some of the schools are centres for SSC examinations. Such schools shall function from 1 p.m.to 5 p.m. on the day of the exams, and from 8 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on the remaining days. The special classes for tenth standard students shall continue.

All Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers were directed to communicate the orders to the schools functioning under all managements and monitor the same strict implementation.

Timings: 8.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Dates: March 15 to April 23, 2026

Applicable for: All government, government aided and private management schools
