An accounts examiner working with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s (GHMC) Secunderabad Zonal office was arrested while accepting a bribe of ₹35,000 by officials of the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

The accused, Surya Vamsi Santosh, was trapped by the ACB City Range-II unit at his office after he demanded a bribe of ₹40,000 from a complainant.
