A literary festival titled ‘Samajamukhi literary conference’ featuring emerging and senior writers from different parts of the State, including Mysuru, will be held on Bharat Scouts and Guides premises at Palace Road in Bengaluru on November 8 and 9.

Addressing a press conference in Mysuru on Wednesday on behalf of the Samajamukhi team, wildlife photographer Lokesh Mosale said that Samajamukhi Prakashana had been publishing a monthly magazine for the past eight years, while also conducting programmes to promote theatre and yakshagana, besides holding story-writing competitions.

As part of the literary conference, a total of 47 group discussions across creative, classical, non-Kannada, and heritage platforms will be held in addition to the main sessions.

More than 225 writers and thinkers will participate in the conference, whose inaugural programme will feature litterateurs like Hampa Nagarajaiah, Baraguru Ramachandrappa, and H.S. Shivaprakash.
