A project offering free entrance coaching to students of Pattambi Assembly constituency began on Saturday. Mohammed Muhsin, MLA, inaugurated the project at SNGS College, Pattambi.
The two-month long programme is being offered for SSLC and higher secondary students. About 400 students took part in the inaugural session. The programme is titled ‘Shradha’.
Medical and engineering foundation classes will be offered on Sundays. Mr. Muhsin said that the programme would empower the students to face the entrance examinations for professional programmes.
Pattambi Municipal Chairperson O. Lakshmikutty presided over the function. District panchayat education standing committee chairperson A. Shabira, Pattambi municipal councillor N. Rajan, Vilayur panchayat member Mujeeb Karuvankuzhi and Shradha convener K.P. Ashif spoke.
