Four members of a family, including two children, were killed in a head-on collision between a tipper lorry and an electric two-wheeler at Jangampally in Kamareddy district on Wednesday afternoon.
The victims were identified as 50-year-old Stephen, his 28-year-old daughter, and two grandchildren aged four and two.
The incident was reported around 1 p.m. while the family was travelling from Kamareddy to Bhiknoor on an electric two-wheeler.
“The tipper driver, who was travelling on the wrong side, drove rashly and collided with the two-wheeler,” said Kamareddy Rural Inspector Raman.
Police have taken the driver into custody, and the bodies have been sent for postmortem examination.
Further investigation is under way.
