Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and TATA Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekharan met during the World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos on Thursday and discussed the implementation of various projects, including the establishment of a TCS Development Centre in Visakhapatnam.

Mr. Naidu requested Mr. Chandrasekharan to partner with the State government in the construction of three sports cities, and to expedite the projects committed by the TATA Group. He also appealed to Mr. Chandrasekharan to explore the investment opportunities in the tourism sector in the State.

They deliberated on the progress of the TCS unit in Visakhapatnam, Amaravati Quantum Valley and the proposed solar power projects in Kurnool.

Mr. Chandrasekaran said officials from the Tata Trusts would be sent to discuss ways to take the initiatives under the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) forward.

Regarding the WEF, Mr. Naidu said it was an excellent platform to understand global industrial trends and the mindsets of entrepreneurs, and his visit significantly helped in positing ‘Brand AP’ on the global stage once again.
