The leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, will decide on talks with S. Ramadoss, founder of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), said Nainar Nagenthran, State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in Coimbatore on Friday.

When asked about Mr. Ramadoss saying that he alone was authorised by the PMK to negotiate electoral alliance (and not his estranged son Anbumani), Mr. Nagenthran said Mr. Palaniswami would decide on the matter. Further, Mr. Palaniswami, who is the General Secretary of AIADMK, will determine on who will join the party.

Regarding the DMDK, he said the NDA wanted the party to be a part of it.

He said the BJP was yet to hold seat sharing talks with the AIADMK and the discussions, when held, would arrive at amicable decisions.

Mr. Nagenthran said the BJP had no connection to the observations of Censor Board regarding actor Vijay’s movie, Jana Nayagan.
