Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Wednesday presented cheques to students who won competitions organised by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), under the Skill Tamil Nadu 2025 initiative. He presented cheques worth ₹25,000 to 70 students who secured first place across 63 categories, while 69 students who secured second place received ₹10,000 each at a function organised at Valluvar Kottam in Chennai.

He also distributed appointment orders to 1,194 students selected through campus placement drives conducted in government and government-aided engineering and arts colleges during the 2025–26 academic year.

Under the Naan Mudhalvan scheme, Mr. Udhayanidhi presented medals to 80 students who underwent residential coaching and secured appointments.

Memoranda of Understanding were exchanged, in the presence of the Deputy Chief Minister, between the TNSDC and several companies that have come forward to offer jobs to winners of the India Skills 2026 competition.

Mr. Udhayanidhi also visited an exhibition showcasing science and technology-related projects created by students.

MP Dayanidhi Maran, MLA N. Ezhilan, Additional Chief Secretary (Special Programme Implementation) Pradeep Yadav, and Managing Director of the TNSDC Kranti Kumar Pati were among those present.
