The District Congress Committee organised a protest against the Union Government’s VB-G RAM G Act in Yadgir on Saturday.

Addressing the party workers, MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur reiterated that the VB-G RAM G Act was anti-constitutional nd said that the Union government had destroyed the prime concept of MGNREGA with the new law.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has been following the anti-people policies and laws. “Like the Agri Laws, the VB-G RAM G Act should also be repealed immediately,” he demanded.

DCC president Basareddy Malipatil Anpur alleged laborers and members of poor families would face difficulties in getting jobs under the new law introduced by the Union government.

Referring to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s suggestions, Sharanappa Manegar, a Congress leader, said that Mr. Naidu expressed his displeasure over the new law. Baburao Chinchansur, chairman of the Nijasharana Ambigara Chowdaiah Development Board, urged the Union government to withdraw the anti-people law.
