The Board of Intermediate Education on Sunday announced that in view of the forecast of cyclonic storm “Montha” and considering the safety and security of students, the district Collectors of Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu and YSR Kadapa have declared holidays from October 27 to October 31 to government, aided and private junior colleges in their respective districts.

The Board has also directed the department’s field staff to ensure strict implementation of these orders. “They should see that the students should be in their homes and no institution should function on the days declared as holidays by the respective district Collectors,” they said. The Board has warned that any negligence in this regard would be viewed seriously.
