A total of 35 flights were cancelled at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Tuesday (October 28, 2025), as Cyclone Montha moved closer to the Andhra Pradesh coast, disrupting air operations to coastal destinations. Most of the affected flights were bound for or arriving from Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, and Vijayawada.

IndiGo was most impacted, cancelling 15 arrivals and 15 departures. Affected services included routes between Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, and Vijayawada, key coastal sectors currently facing heavy rain and strong winds due to the cyclone’s influence.

Air India Express cancelled two arrivals (IX 2745, IX 2744 from Visakhapatnam) and three departures (IX 2885, IX 2819 to Visakhapatnam, and IX 2743 to Vijayawada).

The respective airlines had already informed the passengers earlier, said a Hyderabad airport official.

IndiGo on October 27 took to X and issued a travel advisory requesting all the passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad airport also took to X issuing a passenger advisory requesting passengers to check with their respective airlines and plan their travel accordingly.
